Joel Thompson

Before joining the FTD clinical trials team, Joel graduated from Dickinson College in 2022 with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry. After college he joined the Robert J Lee lab at Penn studying airway cell physiology and TAS2R receptors. His research projects included studying hops β-acids in the context of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and more recently, bacterial metabolites on cell signaling and as cancer therapeutics. In his free time, Joel enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
