Mary Kate Merenich

Clinical Research Coordinator

Mary Kate Merenich serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the ALLFTD study at the Penn FTD Center. She obtained her B.S. in Neuroscience from Duke University in 2025, where she spent three years in language-based neuroscience research. As an undergraduate researcher, she studied topics such as infant language acquisition, “hidden” hearing loss, and auditory processing in foreign language learners—the focus of her senior thesis. Mary Kate is primarily interested in presentations of language decline in neurodegenerative disease, an area which she would like to further explore in graduate study. In her free time, Mary Kate enjoys running, traveling, and going to the movies with her friends.
