Riya Chaturvedi
Clinical Research Coordinator
Riya graduated from Temple University's Honors Program with a B.S. In neuroscience and a second major in psychology. At the FTD Center, Riya is a Clinical Research Coordinator who works on Industry-sponsored trials. Prior coming to Penn, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Cognitive Neuropsychology Lab at Temple for 3 years where she worked closely with technologies such as virtual reality and smartwatches to understand their role in monitoring and assessing patient symptoms, physiological variables, and cognitive and functional decline in older adults with healthy cognition, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia. Additionally, Riya wrote a manuscript that identifies activity patterns of older adults who self-report subjective cognitive impairment and wrote her undergrad thesis on the association between vascular dysfunction and cognitive impairment. Riya is excited to support early clinical research with the goal of helping bring new treatments to patients and families affected by neurodegenerative diseases.
