Ysabella Perez

Clinical Research Coordinator

Ysabella graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2026 with a B.S. in Biology and Medical Sociology, a Chemistry minor, and a Spanish certificate. She is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the FTD Center. At Penn, she was a PURM intern and research assistant with Tiempo Juntos, a community-based participatory research project involving Spanish-speaking older adults with mild cognitive impairment. She was also an LDI SUMR Scholar matched with the Penn Memory Center and Penn Nursing’s CHOPR, where she worked on healthcare equity, patient outcomes, nursing systems, and Alzheimer’s disease knowledge across at-risk social groups. Outside Penn, she worked with the neuromuscular team at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience through the Brain Research, Innovation, & Translation Laboratory. Ysabella is interested in the relationship between autonomic dysfunction and cognition and improving quality of life for those with chronic neurological conditions. She plans to pursue a medical degree and advance patient-centered neurological care. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring new coffee shops.
