Remember Me Podcast: Caregiver Conference Keynote Speakers

We are incredibly excited to announce this year’s Annual Penn FTD Center Caregiver Conference Keynote Speakers, our wonderful friends Rachael Martinez and Maria Kent-Beers, from the Remember Me Podcast! The Remember Me Podcast and Community (https://www.remembermeftd.com/) were created to generate awareness of dementia, specifically FTD. Rachael and Maria were both caregivers for their respective parents with FTD, and their self-proclaimed ‘passion project’ has grown into a large, supportive community of connectedness and understanding where people feel seen and heard.

The Remember Me Podcast consists of episodes featuring the families, caregivers, and loved ones of patients with FTD telling their stories. The format of each podcast episode allows listeners to tag along with these real families as they explore the FTD journey from symptom onset to diagnosis, reflect on the before to hear about who their loved one was before disease, what they loved, and what they accomplished, and then wrap up with what Rachael and Maria have coined accepting the good – looking for the silver linings, even when it feels difficult.

The Penn FTD Center was honored to partner with the Remember Me Podcast for their 8th season and contribute to this supportive community that has become so important to so many care partners! For Season 8, members of the Penn FTD Center team helped weave together information on all aspects of FTD from understanding the symptoms, trajectory of disease, care concerns, research participation, and so much more with the real-life caregiver stories that the Remember Me Podcast helps tell so well.
