What is your role at the Penn FTD Center and how long have you been working at the center?
I started at the FTD Center in April of 2023. I am a senior Clinical Research Coordinator working on the Penn FTD Center Clinical Trials Team. We have several different drug and first in humans genetic therapy trials ongoing. I play a key role in recruiting, scheduling, and running the clinical trial visit activities. This allows me to spend a lot of time working with our patients and families, which I really enjoy!
How do you hope to use this work in future opportunities?
My position and time at the FTD Center has been very impactful and provided me with valuable experiences that can translate into a wide range of opportunities in my career. I have gained an abundance of knowledge and skills that I hope to use to further my career in clinical research. This position has helped me grow my communication and interpersonal skills not only with my team at the Penn FTD Center, but with patients and their families as well.
What is your favorite thing to do in Philly?
One of my favorite things to do is attend sporting events, especially the Phillies! I also love to explore the city’s diverse food scene - brunch spots are my favorite!
