What is your role at the Penn FTD Center and how long have you been working at the center?
I have been a Clinical Research Coordinator A at the Penn FTD Center since June 2023. I work on the UNICORN observational study and recruit participants for 7T MRI scans with the FTDC.

How do you hope to use this work in future opportunities?
I hope to use the skills I have developed in this position as a future physician. Working in the center, I became familiar with collaboration across multiple teams within and outside of the organization. I also gained invaluable experience communicating directly with patients and their families, learning about the humanistic elements of medicine that present themselves through these interpersonal relationships. I aim to carry these lessons with me as I begin my journey as a medical student this fall, working in multidisciplinary teams and cultivating new relationships with a diverse patient population in Los Angeles.

What is your favorite thing to do in Philly?
My favorite thing to do in Philly is definitely going out for food. One of my most frequented restaurants is Booker's Restaurant and Bar in West Philly, a black-owned brunch spot with the best chicken and waffles I've had in the city. Other than the food, sport events are very fun at Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo Center. Parts of the city are very walkable and it can be nice to walk down some of the riverside trails in the spring.
