Get to know the Penn FTD Center staff! Learn more this month from Penn FTD Center Jordana Woodford, MA, Ed.S in the responses below!

What is your role at the Penn FTD Center and how long have you been working at the center?
I am a clinical research coordinator and having been working at the Penn FTD Center for over 3 years. In the past, I worked on coordinating the CReATe Phenotype Genotype Biomarkers 2 (PGB2) and Trial Ready studies with Dr. Corey McMillan. I also worked with the team at the Penn Comprehensive ALS Clinic coordinating studies for Dr. Jason Ackrivo, including the Philadelphia Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (PALS) study, MDA-TCO2 study, and the Implementation of Transcutaneous CO2 Monitoring (ITCOM) Study in ALS. Currently, I work on the UNICORN study, P01 study, and am a part of the ALLFTD team.Â
How do you hope to use this work in future opportunities?
Working here has been a fantastic experience! Regarding future opportunities, I hope to explore the regulatory side of research and learn more ways that we support our participants and the integrity of research through that lens.

What is your favorite thing to do in Philly?
I am a city girl who loves living in the city! On my free time, I tap into my artistic side by singing in a professional choir at First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. But, I also love going to great restaurants (especially in West Philly!), going to concerts (especially opera, because of the drama!), and going to art museums and galleries. But when the weather is nice, I am all about taking walks around the city and sitting in the park to people watch.Â
